Meet Our Math Teacher - Rebecca Eggert


At Nimbus Christian Education our teachers ensure students are engaged in learning interwoven with Christ. Today we are pleased to introduce another incredible math teacher who does just that. Meet Rebecca Eggert!

For over 20 years, Rebecca has been teaching in Christian schools, homeschool, Sunday School, summer camps, and she has also been an effective tutor. In 1997, Rebecca graduated from Brock University with her concurrent Bachelor of Science (Math) and Bachelor of Education. She has taught and tutored all subjects, but her favourite has always been math. 


 In addition to teaching at Nimbus, Rebecca is also a high school teacher at Vianney Academy of Learning.

As an experienced educator, Rebecca believes that online learning works exceptionally well for students. She says it gives them the time they need to master the current topic before moving on to the next. In order for students to stay engaged in online learning, she highly recommends making a schedule and sticking to it since it’s easy to get behind.

As an online teacher, Rebecca enjoys teaching students in various grades and stages. At Nimbus, she is currently teaching grade 5, 7 and 11 science and grade 5, 7, 9, 10 and 11 math. Rebecca appreciates doing something different everyday with a variety of students, “It’s always exciting and new! I also love discovering new websites and tools online to help my students learn better.”

Interesting facts about Rebecca:

  • Her least favorite subject in school was History and her other favourite subject to teach is the Bible.
  • Rebecca earned her grade 8 piano conservatory qualifications at 13 years old; and, she also played the clarinet, sang in church and school choirs throughout high school.
  • Rebecca lives with her husband, their three teenage children, and her B.F.F. (best furry friend) January.
  • Rebecca loves dogs, hiking, spending time with her family and friends, but most of all...Jesus.

Supporting Students with IEP’s and Special Needs

Meet Our Math Teacher - Karen Timson

Today we are pleased to introduce one of our extraordinary senior math teachers, Karen Timson! Karen has worked for the York Region District School Board (YRDSB) throughout her teaching career in a variety of roles. In addition to teaching math, Karen has held leadership and consulting roles in the mathematics department.
