Here We Grow Again - Nimbus is Hiring!

The future of Nimbus Christian Education is looking bright and our team is growing again. We are diligently working to support the increasing demand for quality online Christian Education. Our executive team is in the process of hiring additional course developers and teachers as we add more courses.

Currently there are several positions posted on the Edvance job board that are open to qualified candidates. If you or someone you know would like to be part of this incredible online educational movement, here’s a snapshot of what we’re looking for.

COURSE DEVELOPERS
Bring your excitement about the future of online Christian Education as a Course Developer. Specific courses to be developed include, but are not limited to: Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Career Studies, English and The Ontario Secondary School Literacy Course. This is a definite part time flexible position.

TEACHERS
Combine your love of teaching with a Christian Worldview in an online learning environment. These flexible part time positions allow you to work from home while teaching. Desired qualifications: Ontario College of Teachers, Christian School Teacher Certificate, or equivalent, degree or experience in the respective academic subject. Online Civics Teacher (Grade 10 Open CHV2O)

Online French Teacher (FSF1D) – Core French, Grade 9, Academic

Online Science Teacher (SNC1D) – Science Grade 9, Academic

Online Computer Studies Teacher (ICS2O) – Introduction to Computer Studies, Grade 10, Open

Online Physics Teacher (SPH3U) – Physics Grade 11

Online Math Teacher (grades 7-11)

In 2012, Catharine received her Bachelor of Education along with a Bachelor of Arts in Integrated Studies minoring in French and English Language and Literature from Brock University. Supporting Students with IEP’s and Special Needs

Learning new concepts can be difficult for any student, but there are some unique challenges for those diagnosed with a learning disability. However, there are many opportunities for students of all abilities to excel on their academic journey.   Whether your child has been diagnosed with a learning disability or is a struggling learner, it’s natural to feel uncertain about their future. Some learning challenges are not as obvious as others, so students may suffer in silence and become lost in a traditional classroom. With the right tools and environment, students with various learning abilities can experience academic success. Meet Our Math Teacher - Karen Timson

Above all else, each of our team members loves God and remains dedicated to helping students achieve their academic goals.  As Nimbus continues to grow, we’re excited about periodically highlighting our amazing team members. Today we are pleased to introduce one of our extraordinary senior math teachers, Karen Timson! Karen has worked for the York Region District School Board (YRDSB) throughout her teaching career in a variety of roles. In addition to teaching math, Karen has held leadership and consulting roles in the mathematics department.
