An Incredible Start to an Unprecedented New School Year



This year has been unpredictable to say the least. By God’s grace, we’ve been blessed with an amazing start to the new school year at Nimbus Christian Education.

Last year at this time we had 4 staff members and 15 students. This year, we have 15 staff members and 40 students! We are fortunate to have a phenomenal group of professional Christian educators teaching a variety of subjects. We’re already getting some encouraging feedback from parents:

It really is an honour and privilege to serve various families and help them reach their academic goals. A special thanks to everyone who has referred Nimbus to their friends, family members and others navigating through a new educational path. We are also grateful for those who supported Nimbus financially beyond their tuition. Because of your generosity, we have been able to assist even more students and families than ever before. Your donations are making it possible to do more of God’s work. All students should have access to quality online education with a Christian worldview. Our team remains dedicated to collaborating with Christian teachers and home educators to assist students on their educational journey.

Supporting Students with IEP’s and Special Needs

Learning new concepts can be difficult for any student, but there are some unique challenges for those diagnosed with a learning disability. However, there are many opportunities for students of all abilities to excel on their academic journey.   Whether your child has been diagnosed with a learning disability or is a struggling learner, it’s natural to feel uncertain about their future. Some learning challenges are not as obvious as others, so students may suffer in silence and become lost in a traditional classroom. With the right tools and environment, students with various learning abilities can experience academic success. Meet Our Math Teacher - Karen Timson

At Nimbus Christian Education we are so grateful for the incredibly talented and godly educators that enhance our team. Our teachers come from all walks of life and have a myriad of experience. Above all else, each of our team members loves God and remains dedicated to helping students achieve their academic goals.  As Nimbus continues to grow, we’re excited about periodically highlighting our amazing team members. Today we are pleased to introduce one of our extraordinary senior math teachers, Karen Timson! Karen has worked for the York Region District School Board (YRDSB) throughout her teaching career in a variety of roles. In addition to teaching math, Karen has held leadership and consulting roles in the mathematics department. She has her Masters of Education in Curriculum and has taught Additional Qualifications Courses for teachers at Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) both in-person and online.
